RAD Community

If you live in the Ratho and District Community Council you can enjoy some benefits at Lost Shore and help your community whilst doing so. Lost Shore will rebate 5% of net revenue generated through the RAD Community to Ratho and District Community Council.

Benefits include:

  • 15% off surf lessons and sessions.
  • 15% off Lost Shore Surf Club Membership fee
  • 15% off drinks, cakes and pastries in the cafe bar at Canteen
  • 15% off treatments in Spa Studio

Available Monday-Friday all year, for both advanced online bookings, and walk-up bookings for the bar and cafe. Not valid on restaurant menu food, events, or accommodation.

Valid for all postcodes within the Ratho and District Community Council region. Check your postcode validity on this map or check the list here. The RAD Community Membership will expire after 12 months, after which you will need to come back and prove your address again. For more details, please check our FAQs and T&Cs below.

To join the RAD Community, just bring proof of address and your ID to our reception desk, and start enjoying the RAD benefits!

FAQs

Come down to Lost Shore with your ID and proof of address (eg. utility bill or photo ID showing address) and we’ll setup your account in reception as part of the RAD Community. Once that is done you will get:

  • RAD Community member tier in your account, which is shown in your digital ID card, located in the “My Account” tab in your Lost Shore account portal. Make sure you add a photo to your profile. If you prefer having a physical card, you can request in in reception.
  • You will receive an email with your RAD discount codes to use online.

Your member status will be active for 12 months from the date you activate it and there is a £1 transaction fee for setting it up.

After one year, you will need to go through the process again.

Once you join, you will get automatically added to the RaD Community Newsletter and you will get a welcome email with information and the discount codes. After that, you will receive an update email every couple of months with your new discount codes and relevant information.

Any person who is over the age of 17 will need to have their own Lost Shore account with a verified RAD Community tier. Underage people can have their own accounts too, but they will need to be verified with the legal guardians in reception.

For underage people without accounts, they can be booked via the accounts of over age people in the same household.

Children under 16 must be accompanied on site by an adult. 16 & 17 year olds may participate without an adult present if their parent or guardian has signed our safety waiver form and provided emergency contact information.

You can unlock your RaD community benefits in the following ways:

  • For booking surf lessons, sessions and wellness treatments online, you can make use of your discount code, which will be communicated to you via the RaD Community Newsletter every two months.
  • For onsite discounts in Canteen you can use your digital ID card or the physical membership card, which proves your RaD Community membership.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to have both memberships active at the same time. You need to choose to be a member of either the RAD Community or the Lost Shore Surf Club. They are not compatible.

You can bring your friends and family along with your discount, but bookings must be made by a RAD Community member and the member must participate in the same session or booking for it to be valid.

When adding people to the booking, make sure you put the name of the extra people in the different booked slots.

On November 1st 2025, this new approach will be the only way RAD Community members will be able to access their Lost Shore benefits.

RAD Discount Terms & Conditions

  • Only available on surf lessons & sessions, in the bar & café on drinks, cakes and pastries, and on wellness treatments.
  • Valid for all postcodes within the Ratho and District Community Council region. See the full list of postcodes here.
  • Available Monday – Friday all year.
  • Available for both advanced online bookings, and walk-up bookings for the bar and café. Max table of 6.
  • Not valid on restaurant menu food, events, or accommodation.
  • Proof of address required on issuing of discount card and code (e.g. utility bill or photo ID showing address).
  • Membership card can be used for physical on site bookings and payments.
  • A new discount code shall be issued every two months via the RAD Community newsletter, for use for online bookings.
  • The code can be shared with anyone within the same household, but overage residents need to have their own Lost Shore RAD Community verified account.
  • Bookings must be made by a RAD Community member, additional friends and families are able to join the member and take advantage of the discount. However, the member must participate in the same session or booking for it to be valid. The member making the booking should rename the booked slots with the names of the other individuals.
