THE WAVE PROJECT

Lost Shore has partnered with The Wave Project to offer Surf Therapy courses to young people in Glasgow, West Lothian and Edinburgh. Our founder Andy Hadden volunteered with The Wave Project over the last decade and saw the power of Surf Therapy first hand, inspiring him to include it in the creation of Lost Shore.

Every volunteer at The Wave Project is instrumental in helping to improve the lives of children and young people. They are always on the look out for new volunteers. See below how you can join their passionate, committed team and be part of the change.

Surf Mentors

  • Work one-on-one with young people, supporting them in their surfing journey
  • Provide mentorship, encouragement, and a listening ear
  • Share your love of the ocean and surfing

Make a difference

Ruairidh Farquharson, Project Coordinator said: “I started volunteering in Dunbar in 2018, started the St Andrews project in 2021 and I am stoked to be moving to be Project Coordinator for The Wave Project Lost Shore. I have seen first hand the power of Surf Therapy change the lives of so many young people, and I am so grateful to get to spend time in the water with our incredible volunteer team in Scotland.”
