BOARD HIRE

We’ve got an awesome selection of rental surfboards, bodyboards & handplanes for you here at Lost Shore! We have around 95 different models to choose between. Performance shortboards to everyday fun boards – we’ve got choices for everyone.

Rental is available on a first come, first served basis & you’re able to make a reservation on the same day that you’ll be entering the pool. Just remember, you’ll be required to leave a valid form of photo identification. Rental is available for every session in the surf shop – swing by for recommendations & advice from our expert staff.

Made by Indio and included in the price of your lesson or session, including funboards (7’0″), mini-malibus (8’0″) and longboards (9’0″), maximising fun and safety!

Hybrid & Performance softboards

Made by Softech, Torq and Bell, including exciting shapes and fun designs, ideal for having fun, exploring new shapes and progressing safely!

Good vibes, good boards, a few simple rules

To keep things smooth for everyone, here’s what you need to know when renting:

1. Let’s Keep Some ID

We’ll need a valid photo ID to hold as a deposit while you’re out there catching waves. Don’t worry — we’ll keep it locked away safe, but please note, we can’t take responsibility for any loss or damage while it’s with us. We’re usually not able to post IDs back to you — please remember to swing by and collect it before you leave.

2. Return to Base

When you’re done, just bring your gear back to the Surf Shop, and we’ll hand your ID back to you.

3. Late Returns = Extra Charges

Try to bring your equipment back on time. If it’s more than 45 minutes after the end, we may need to charge for an extra rental period. If you’ve booked for multiple sessions, please return the board in between.

4. No Refunds for Early Returns

Heading in early? Totally fine — just note we can’t offer refunds for unused session time. In the case you’re asked to leave the session, we’ll offer a free rental voucher.

5. Spotted a Ding or Damage?

Let us know before you hit the water. We want to keep everyone safe, and using damaged gear in the pool isn’t allowed. Please don’t tweak, change, or modify any equipment unless you’ve had a chat with our staff first.

6. Your Board, Your Responsibility

While it’s with you, the board is in your care. If it’s lost or stolen, you’ll need to cover the full replacement cost based on the current market value. Pro tip: never leave it unattended in public spaces.

If a board comes back damaged where it must be taken out of service to be repaired, you’ll be charged £10.
