What is the difference between session and lesson?
What is the difference between session and lesson?
In a lesson, a coach will guide you in a safe and fun manner, from the basic waves, right up to learning manoeuvres and beyond. In a session you are surfing independently as in the ocean. The vouchers give you access to both of these.
When can I choose my surf lesson or session?

The Early Bird Vouchers give you access to the booking system, for selecting the date of your surf experience, two weeks ahead of general release to the public. We will contact voucher holders by 15th April 2024, with more information and next steps.

Yes, our site and surfing facility has been built to be fully accessible.

Yes, we have heated indoor changing rooms with lockers and showers located in our hub building.

Yes, we have lifeguards on duty at all times. Our surf coaches will also be trained in all aspects of water safety.
Do I need to bring a wetsuit?

No, high quality wetsuits and boards are included in the price of your surf lesson or session. You can of course bring your own if you like though

No, we welcome all level of surfers as as well as those who have never even set foot on a beach before! Our coaches will give you their expert guidance to help you learn and will ensure that you have a lot of fun doing so! Our waves cater for everyone from first timers to pros!

The number of people in surf sessions and lessons will vary, but they will always be aimed at providing a safe, fun, and pressure free experience.
Can I use my own board?

Yes you can. We will also have a range of softboards which are free to use, as well as higher performance boards which can be rented.

Unsurprisingly, we are not boasting warm water in Scotland. However we have carefully selected the best possible wetsuits for the conditions. We are certain that you will be surprised at just how warm and comfortable you will be in our pool.

The average depth ranges between 0.5 – 1.2 m in the beginner area (Bay) and 1.0 – 2.5 m in the expert area (Reef).

We have 22 premium pods on our beachside terrace, over looking the pool

Yes, well behaved dogs are welcome.

Is the accommodation wheelchair accessible?
The Kurv accommodation pods (£150 voucher) are designed to comfortably sleep up to 6 people, and have been specifically designed with wheelchair accessibility at their heart. The smaller Hotelier pods are not wheelchair accessible.

The larger Kurv & Wave pods (£150 voucher) have a fully fitted kitchen with everything you will need. We also have a food market on site, which will offer a fantastic dining experience, for meals and snacks.
